Arts and Crafts Competition at Cadet College Jhelum

Date: 04th June 2024 

On 4th June 2024, Cadet College Jhelum hosted an arts and crafts competition for junior classes, focusing on creating scale models of Pakistan’s national monuments: Minar-e-Pakistan, Khyber Pass, Mazar-e-Quaid, and Faisal Mosque.

Model Displays:
Students set up their scale models in the exhibition hall, each with a description of the monument’s history and architecture.

1.Minar-e-Pakistan:
   – Models showed the tower’s detailed design and its significance as a symbol of Pakistan’s independence.

2. Khyber Pass:
   – Models depicted the rugged terrain and historical forts, emphasizing its strategic importance.

3. Mazar-e-Quaid:
   – Models focused on the mausoleum’s modernist design and serene surroundings.

4. Faisal Mosque:
   – Models captured the mosque’s unique architecture and geometric patterns.

Workshops and Activities:
Students participated in workshops to learn about model-making techniques and the history of the monuments, led by art teachers and history enthusiasts.

– First Place: Mazar-e-Quaid model by Class 7A.
– Second Place: Faisal Mosque model by Class 8th A.
-Third Place:Minar-e-Pakistan model by Class O-Level
-Fourth Place : Khyber Pass model by Class 8th B

The competition was a great success, showcasing the students’ talent and understanding of Pakistan’s heritage.
