Sports Gala 2025
Dates: 8–10th November 2025
The Sports Gala 2025 at Cadet College Jhelum was conducted over three energetic and competitive days, reflecting the institution’s commitment to discipline, sportsmanship, and holistic character development. All four houses participated with great enthusiasm, and the event brought together cadets, faculty, and guests in a spirited environment celebrating athletic excellence.
DAY 1 – Opening Ceremony & Commencement of Competitions
The gala commenced with an impressive Opening Ceremony attended by the Managing Director as Chief Guest. Following the ribbon-cutting, the Chief Guest formally declared the Sports Gala open. A symbolic release of balloons carrying CCJ pamphlets added colour and energy to the occasion.
One of the most notable moments was the Olympic Torch Relay. The Sports Officer handed over the torch to the Champion House Captain, after which all House Captains ran 100 meters each across the ground, passing the torch in a display of unity and tradition.
The athletes then took their official oath, pledging fairness, dedication, and respect. This was followed by a disciplined and well-coordinated March Past by senior cadets.
The first day also featured competitive finals in the team sports:
- Cricket Final: Iqbal House defeated Tipu House
- Basketball Final: Tipu House defeated Jinnah House
Heats for the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 400m relay races were also conducted, setting the stage for the final day’s track events.
DAY 2 – Team Event Finals & Field Competitions
Day 2 brought high-intensity competition as the remaining team event finals were held:

- Football Final: Babar House defeated Jinnah House
Alongside the team matches, cadets demonstrated strong athletic ability in the field events, including Long Jump, Shot Put, and Javelin Throw. Each event was contested with impressive effort and skill, contributing significantly to the houses’ standing.
The day concluded with preliminary result compilations and preparation for the concluding events.
DAY 3 – Track Finals, Exhibition Event & Closing Ceremony
The final day began with warm-up sessions and last-minute briefings by House Captains. Guests and the Chief Guest arrived to witness the concluding and most competitive events of the gala.
Finals for the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 400m relay races took place, delivering close contests and showcasing excellent athletic talent. The last rounds of Long Jump, Shot Put, and Javelin Throw followed, determining the ultimate medal standings.
A special highlight of the day was the Exhibition Tug of War between Tipu House and Iqbal House, which added excitement and enthusiastic cheering from fellow cadets.
The event concluded with a dignified Closing Ceremony. The Chief Guest declared the Sports Gala closed, followed by the Flag Lowering at sunset.
